Lubricating Your U-joints

If the drive shaft universal joints have grease fittings, lubricate these joints whenever the front end has a "lube" job or at every oil change interval. Modern universal joints are factory sealed, contain no grease fittings and therefore cannot be lubricated. Others might have threaded plugs that must be removed and replaced with grease fittings prior to lubrication.

Have a professional automotive technician lubricate your universal joints if necessary.
